Is it going technotechno again?
Is it just me or is a lot of the new releases coming out speeding up in tempo and getting harder? It almost feels like the "trance" wave is on the way out... Probably its just me but i feel like its much influences of the old (oh well, not so old) techno thats sneaking in back again. (even stuff over 130 bpm again :O) . Dunno what i want to accomplish with this rant but hey, its tuesday and i'm drunk. More peoples beer to the people!!!
i personally like it. at least the faster bpm part. i don't really like the harder stuff but i would like to see the return of sahko or sleeparchive (not that he ever left) eventhough it is not quite so dancy.
faith in chaos.

Can't speak for everyone else out there but i've certainly been digging deep and reaching back into my collection for older more overtly deep techy and housey stuff at moment. it also seems like a couple of producers and labels are going back to their roots and influences and releasing some old (style) tracks at the moment like Andy Vaz's new label Yore which has got some great stuff coming out on it with a proper lean towards chicago and detroit. My original roots are in techno and house and to me minimal always used to be a variant of those styles rather than a genre in it's own right so it makes sense to take a step back every now and then to remember where u came from in order to move forwards..
