What an interesting thread this is.

I don't drink (except a rare sip once in a blue moon), I don't smoke, and have tried E once, and M once. I didn't really find it that interesting. The bottom line for me is, that I enjoy myself much much more without any of it (especially the alcohol).

But the parties I go to these days, and the friends that I go with, are all ruled by either M or E or speed and usually mixed with some kind of hash (or some such soft drug).

I don't need any of it to have a good time, but I am almost always the odd one out.

The upside is, that I don't feel so incredibly crappy the days after.
The downside is, that the rest wants to go on and on until the wee hours of the morning and way way beyond. After 7 or so hours of almost non-stop dancing (the thing I love to do after all, and the reason I go, after all!), I am beat by that time.

And it's a strange sensation to stand in the middle of a dancefloor, dance your heart out (I am always the one dancing the most and the hardest, for some reason), have a ball of a time, and all of a sudden have the thought that you are probably one of the very few people there who are stone-cold sober, really...

Once in a while I realise this, but it's best not to think about it
