nice read, and I've liked the man's work but I've seen many producers changing their sound towards less dancefloor based music and loosing theirselves in it...it all sounds so concept-like...

I don't really understand too much what he's saying here. He expect to be something like an orchestra director in one year? He said he uses a lot of real composing but doesnt touch a computer? Then how does he load that stuff on his setup? I'm confused. Also i'm surprised he doesnt arrange nothing anymore. I think arrangements are fundamental in the song writting process. Im all for that kind of let's records and see what happens, but dismissing arrangements feels strange.

if he talks about an orchestra and composing, i think he means to use instruments like a modular system

and not playing his finished tracks with a laptop, add some loops and efx and feel like picasso

i think he means making improvised music with what could be called electronic instruments
