those are lots of the dogs on acid grid drums. there are some useable real snares in there but a lot of work to go through all the breaks and whatnot to find them ... happy hunting

most recently I was doing drum tracks/effects with a trio. two singer/synth gals wrote the tunes & lyrics. 90 - 126bpm overall, but mostly 110 - 120. we also played a couple sets doing purely ambient stuff. was great fun to collaborate with people again after a while of working mostly on my own!

plug a cheap mixer into itself to create internal feedback. run some sounds through with a lot of gain & distortion. lots of gritty textures this way

it's possible to create textural stuff with software but much faster & more organic with broken gear
