Thanks for the link but that doesn't make sense to me. Also i spoke to a Mastering Engineer who told me that dithering is the last step after mastering. Even the guy in your link says it's just his opinion and not a fact nor it's a must. I think the OP's problem is more a configuration problem rathe...

why should you do that? Please enlighten me. I never dither when exporting minxdowns (24 bit) and it doesn't sound muffled at all. Dithering should be done by your Mastering Engineer.NoAffiliation wrote:you need to dither if you're rendering anything below 32 bit.

Have you "Normalize" enabled when exporting? If so, disable it and everything should be fine. It's deffo not an Ableton problem as i'm a power user and never had any bad experiences with exporting audio.

then Ableton might not be right application for your purposes.Why don't you try Traktor or similar software that is more about DJ-like mixing?Ableton isn't primarily designed for this.
