Idea for a sampling plugin

I need your thoughts on an idea for my master thesis in electronics. I want to make a plugin that loads in a given audio file and automatically chops it in pieces with the same tone. The pieces are then mapped according to the notes of a keyboard, so you can play the samples like a normal instrument...

Re: Looking for Rhadoo style drum samples

Did I say that? Really, I'm too lazy (and self conscious  ) to promote my music. One of these days I'll send some tunes out. Anyways, here's something I started over the weekend. I just now recorded a quick arrangement for the drums. http://s-14.net/music/Phase_Ghost-someTrack.mp3 Thx for pos...

Re: Ableton delay effect

Nice one, very timely post - I was actually thinking about how it would be cool to be able to put stuff inside the feedback loop of Ableton's delay to get some more interesting sounds, I guess this isn't quite the same thing (or is it? brain's not really working now) but it sounds like it's worth t...

Ableton delay effect

Delays are cool. Reverbs as well. But what if we put a reverb inside the feedback path of the delay? Indeed, pure awesomeness. Here's how to do t in live: Make a return track with - a simple delay, feedback zero, completely wet - an overdrive - a reverb - fx à la choix Make a dummy audio track with ...

Besides, I love feedback. I'm often a bit lost where to go to with tracks, and then just a small comment can help me in the right direction. Even from friends, who will always say that it's awesome, you can filter some usefull feedback. Anyway, I'm always stubborn enough to take it with a grain of s...

I've just finished a track I'd like feedback on. Anybody willing?
I'd like some feedback on a track too. I suggest we exchange feedback? :)

Thx for the feedback. I always record parameters on the go (sends, filter cutoffs, ...) but I find altering my loops on the go pretty hard, since I mostly use sample based loops for melodies. I did try chopping the loops down to pieces and rearranging them, but this is something you can't do while y...

Stuck with arranging

This happens more and more lately. I find making a good sounding loop very easy, this comes naturally. But then when I start arranging the trouble begins. :( I find the tracks I made lately becoming boring after a short period of time when i compare them with tracks I like. I've read a lot about thi...
