Why not use the included synths on Ableton? Analogue and operator are really nice, i think. They certainly seem better to me than a lot of the free plugins mentioned above...

I can't listen to your tune because I'm on my phone, but generally to make a kick sound cleaner I use a fairly aggressive notch EQ to filter out the 'dirty' frequencies.

I would probably say the opposite of what you are saying, that when starting out, don't buy any VSTs or marketing or whatever. Get a superb tool like Ableton, Reason, that's quite self contained. And use that and only that until you have honestly explored every angle of it. Easier said than done bu...

I love Adam monitors, but i am a bit suspicious of the 'F' range. If you have a decent means of saving money, I would say save up more for monitors... but thats my opinion.

I may well be wrong, but I'm sure I have got Ableton to record aftertouch. I think its called channel pressure and it doesn't seem to be polyphonic.hydrogen wrote:ableton 8 doesn't support aftertouch.
