He makes beautiful dark grooves that remind me of old school stuff like cyborg unknown or kraftwerk but with the emotional content and earnestness of synthpop and the drive of techno.
It's like he's making ur-electronic-music, a very eloquent machine/soul.

Get your tickets for the boat in advance if you are gonna go--much much cheaper. NY events tend to jack up the price at the door for some reason and boat parties have limited capacity.
