my guess is the best idea is to bounce each track down to 32 or 24 the digital distortion should be pretty minimal if you havn't been bouncing the tracks alot previous to mixing.

the rule of thumb should be to listen to the track and play around with different amounts of swing. Then when you like the groove keep that setting. Swinging different ways on different parts of the track is probably a good idea if you'r aiming for a organic groovy track.
