yeah ive got it working fine triggering from output of soundcard, now its just the sequencer on the 101 that is confusing the life out of me, cant get anything in time, it sounds mad, some nice weird rhythms but im wanting some stuff in time to just work it out, im pressing load, then playing a note...

This has got me thinking about not even needing a kenton pro solo now, gonna give the 16ths a try and send a rim shot from my output on soundcard into the clk in, hopefully it works no problem could save me some cash!

quick question thats off track, if i get a kenton pro solo mkII i know i can sequence the 101 from ableton, but im interested in using the internal sequencer on the 101, would i still be able to use the internal sequencer on the 101 and have it synced to ableton?

yeah checked the batteries mate, they were all flat! got some new ones and its working fine from the batteries, theres no awful noise in the background anymore!! i guess its my adapter, gonna buy a new better adapter tomorrow, this is a huge relief! thanks for all the help guys : )

mines a multi volt adapter i had it set to 9v, ive got it opened up now and my dads running a multimeter on all the solder points will get back to you! does your 101 give off a buzz/whine noise like mine too?

yeah good idea mate i'll go there next time, ive tried again with the batteries still no joy, wont power up, works fine from mains, whining noise is still there. ive opened the 101 up to check the connections to the battery compartment and they seem okay, its baffling me why the batteries wont work....
