Re: DRUMCELL in the studio
totally WRONG!!!.....i know sooooooo many producers that put out quality tunes and they choose modular because it gives them most flexibility...what a cheek to say that everyone who owns a modular set up ist just a patching freak.... discussion is ok...nothing wrong with it.....but all you saying i...

Re: Soundplane
It's cool and unique and....it's $1,700. That's a load of jack for a midi controller. I really do like it though. I think I'd prefer it to be held more like a guitar playing purposes. I often wish I could use my bass as a midi controller. http://www.synthtopia.com/content/2012/ ... di-guitar/ this ...

Re: selling machinedrum...
It's fun to use the step sequencer to control drums in Ableton so you can have your drum samples playing from the computer but using hardware control. It's the best of both worlds I think as I can easily switch from 808,909,606 etc. You can even throw in say 40 bass drums in a drum rack on the bass...

Re: Deadmau5 studio (with hell of a modular setup)
my response was tongue in cheek, mostly just making an observation. I wasn't saying you sound like a twat, I just thought it all sounded kind of funny (the whole conversation). Re: Deadmau5 studio (with hell of a modular setup)
fck deadmau5 ... now that i got that out of the way... i have to say its funny to listen to all the modular users they always have something to bitch about... "oh thats too big" , "thats not big enough", "modular has more potential than anything else" ... just saying, I...

Re: something in the sky / mills...
a huge part of jeff mills sound comes from running in the red, and pushing the kick to the point of distortion through the mixer. These tracks are masterpieces but they were not mixed like you would mix a track in the digital realm these days. To get that sound, I would take drum machine samples if ...

Re: kassem mosse live
tbh I think doing proper live pa thats all improv is really an awesome way to approach sets. I think its completely manageable if you setup a workflow thats conducive to improvisation. that being said, creating a proper workflow or setup is what takes a long time. I have been doing live pa for years...
