Re: starting to produce

Ableton is very expensive. I don't know that I personally would start there first. Great for live pa presentations specifically which is why I bought it, but as for productions I'm not all that convinced. it's a nice assistant tool, mixing board, way to add elements/plugin's. Re: WHAT'S THE BEST SOFTWARE TO USE ????

Unfortunately, nobody can help you here, you just need to see for yourself. Some slightly different options if you're Mac, logic isn't supported for Windows. As far a...

Re: Sit/Cristi Cons Basslines

Didn't listen to all of them but Omsupreme has a bass sound that you should be able to get on any analog/VA/subtractive type synth. Possibly a pulse wave or a saw & a square with slight detuning and a bit of filter let through for bite. I was playing with a sound similar to this the other day th...

Re: Recording to Tape ( cassette, worth the hassle? )

Tape is interesting. I read somewhere that if tape was deconstructed and compared to digital techniques, it would have a near infinite sample rate, and the sampling clock frequency would have a gaussian distribution (i.e. white noise), because the magnetization is stored by billions of atoms. CDs a...

Re: Any other forums for producing?

Any improvements you make ultimately come from you, your development and trial and error until you hit on the sort of things you find appealing. People can answer specific questions and discuss techniques and various aspects of production but in the end it's all about how you apply them and no matte...

Re: Virtual CZ Anyone?

That's it, this is what I'm looking to see what others are doing. I just don't get what I'm supposed to be doing with these envelopes, have you made anything that makes use of these?

Virtual CZ Anyone?

I'm really loving this bit of software for basic sounds and chords that just seem to come alive like hardware within a mix. Just wondering who else is using it here and what sort of sounds you are getting out of it? Maybe not the right synth for you Techno heads, at least not right out of the synth ...
