in the market for a new soundcard

for a desktop pc. Needs xlr and quarter inch inputs and outputs. Would like to have a pci type soundcard because I dont need more clutter around my computer but if nothing decent is available I guess I could go external. What will get me the most bang for my buck at a price of around 3-500 dollars?

well finally pulled the trigger. Bought an i7 machine. didn't feel like doing the work so I just spent a bunch of money to get one from a computer store. Anyone have any advice on windows 8 and compatibility with cubase6 and whatnot?

you need a more pronounced bassline or bass rhythm to make that track IMO. Other than that it sounds cool.

Depends on the track. A very well made track I won't change very much. Maybe tweak them a bit to get a consistent rms for a release. Some artists give you a very unpolished track though and it can make a big difference. Mainly the difference between 5 copies sold and a couple hundred or more.
