Yeah, LFO put out a few tracks, with Loop and LFO being probably the biggest. One of the members was Gez Varely, aka G-man, who also released this tune: G-Man - Quo Vadis http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3JO5iHAHWA Absolute classic track, also appears on this early Hawtin mix CD: http://www.discogs.c...

Jeff Mills - Live at the Liquid Room Tokyo

Richie Hawtin - DE:9 Closer to the Edit

Both legendary mixes, and both had a huge impact on my musical tastes and direction. Not particularly old, but I'd rate these as the most important mix CDs I ever heard, without a doubt.

Yeah, I used to really like Magda. She was different, quirky, underground... Now she just sounds like anyone else; washed out and characterless. It's so disappointing, knowing how good she was, and seeing what she does today. It was some of her earlier sets which got me into mnml in the first place!!

People always say that, but some of the most cutting sarcastic remaks are very intelligent and witty imho.
The cheap & easy sarcasm is just playground crap, as you say, but the whole "sarcasm is the lowest form of wit" phrase (Oscar Wilde) is too often quoted for my taste.
