are you sure you've disabled "warping" your audio file? because even when the bpm of the ableton project matches the bpm of the audio file, it can distort (sort of glitch in ableton, it tries to warp without warping being needed). dithering is highly unlikely the cause of your problem. bec...

nice track! but the arrangement seems a bit strange... also, i'd turn down the reverb on the kick a bit, too upfront, or filter some of the highs out of the reverb..

You best record it with a nice mic / pre-amp. Can be very costy to do yourself, if it's only for one project. In that case ask some studios what they're charging. But with some smart EQ'ing and post processing, depending on the way you want to use your sounds, a simple mic in the input of your sound...
