listen to music. You can learn quite a bit about drums if you listen to other sequences. Another thing is to pick up a chord/scale book. Very interesting comments here. I think overall its how you work best with the software provided. Its clear that people approach the music making process differently than others. I've used several applications over the last 6 years and haven't really found something that works quite like ableton+VST...

Ok. So I found one so far... http://www.kiesel.is/products/freedelay/ The key to the delay i'm looking for is that you can change the timing of it and there won't be any explicit clicking. When you do this it has some sort of pitching effect that is quite interesting. Any others that you guys suggest?
