Re: Tips on recording tracks live.

Yes yes yes you are right chaps. I think however my setup is shitty so will have a rant in another post. Didn't you have a Machinedrum? I've heard some really impressive pieces written entirely on a MD-UW. Yeah the MD is great but not so good for synth stuff. Why did you sell all your gear by the w...

Re: s.h.z. - Another Kind Of Trippin

Nice and groovy! Still needs a bit of work (though I don't know how to be specific about that, I'm no production guru), but I like the idea of the track.

Re: Maiyal- Monachopsis

Didn't care much for the first two tracks (although they sounded good in terms of sonics), but the third one was cool!

Re: Deep aquatic soundscape Alan Backdrop - Subworlds (Ambie

Nice sound design, the sub bass sounds HUGE on my headphones.

Doesn't really go anywhere, but that's the way ambient often is. Maybe adding a little melody halfway through could shake things up a bit?

Re: Should the workman blame his tools?

Speaking of music, I don't think there's bad tools per se, almost everything has it's use. i definitely disagree. when i was a guitarist, my sound, and the sound of the whole band was based around a Fender Stratocaster, and Marshal amplifiers and speakers. I tried using Gibson guitars and even diff...

Re: Should the workman blame his tools?

Speaking of music, I don't think there's bad tools per se, almost everything has it's use. However, there are tools that are more suitable to specific jobs. If you want to make classic techno for example, a 909 will help a lot.
