Erm, I've got a feeling music is linear, isn't it?

Kind of makes it difficult to compose something in a non-linear fashion.

The only thing that occurs to me is building loops and then piecing these together in a modular fashion. But then you get loopitus!

Thank you swarlied, DJing is about playing to the crowd. The DJ is there for entertainment, he shouldn't just be playing a few of his own records that take his fancy in that particular moment. IMO the greatest skill of a (techno) DJ is tune selection. Of course I'm not endorsing prancing around like...
