[stream of consciousness].. you can probably create the best kicks using a combination of synthesis and samples. so many ways to do it. This is one always an easy win for me... http://www.ismism.de/ and there are plenty of drum synths that do it too... microtoniq drumatic drumspillage mbase is great...

very cool song. shakers/highhats 3 - 5 db too loud for me. kick and bass become muddy together. seperate them some i think with sidechain or eq.

Try an arpeggio locked into a certain key... monomachine can do this and is really good at that sort of thing.
