Ego doesn't fit the equation.

Hey you know what? I was thinking about this about an hour ago and I think you are right man. There is no ego in it so the absence of ego only makes sense. I think I was a little confused because it was even brought up. If there was ego involved then thats all it would be - someones ego intruding in...

Nice tracks. The subtle kick is something that I like about the track. It leaves more room for the rest of the sound to bloom.

On the question of progressiveness

Victor - On the question of progressiveness I think much like you. I like each track to be something akin a solid state. I have a hard time putting the idea into words without sounding like I am going off into la la land. I like each track to be like a particular state of being. I like tracks to be ...

Re: Minimal Expression - I think it has something to with tr

Truth in sound is the essence of minimal to me. yes and the absence of ego I hope that isn't a commentary on my post because I am only writing what I think. To be honest I don't really understand how ego relates to it but maybe thats my shortfall. I don't seek to humble myself often. I am prone to ...

Truth is intrinsically linked to minimalism.

I really want to expand in this issue. Minimal is ubiquitous. I could take an artist like Luomo (aka Vladislav Delay) His music often classified as "house" or whatever. I first discovered him through force tracks back in the day. For some reason something stuck me deeply. I have tendency toward mini...

Minimal Expression - I think it has something to with truth

I have not read all the comments, only the first few. I just want to say that the concept/ideal of a minimalism sound bothers me. The question of posed by the originating source of the thread by is disturbing in it self. To me minimalism takes take its precedence in its lack of form and therefore it...

Beatport's 800 Pound Gorrila and Digital Sales

So if the t...

Here is my example of how a polyrhythm can be worked into 44

I used to use fruity loops back in the day. I it has a lot of neat functions and I like how wide the programming interface is. No flipping through 16 step chunks or anything. I miss those adjustable pitches on the delays. A little thing that I like to do when working with polyrhythms is set up my "b...
