i think you want to add some sort of shine to the bass that lets you know the bass is there, but doesnt add any more rumble. One way you could do that would be to make your bassline. THen with a different synthesizer but the same pattern from the bassline, you would filter everything down to a small...

id like to see the incorporation of all media....good or bad, its all relevant... shitty mp3's shitty youtube sampling...flawless digital mixes....its all just 1 step in a story. kazaam

use ableton too, but i feel like in Ableton you can lose yourself with all the tricks and buttons and not really appreciate what one thing is doing and doing well.

with reason your able to see the relationships between units and come up with new ones. im still learniing and having fun.

my opinion is that if you dont have a strong vision with what you want for yourself as a sound...its going to rarely be good. if your just after the "Berghain sound" cause it sounds good to you...i think your missing a big part of the reasoning behind the sound....which makes certain work...
