obviously, nothing is "wrong" when it comes to making sounds. I guess this gets confusing - the rift between recomendations for getting creative making sounds and recomendations for mixing a whole track. I just get the feeling that many people start out with a computer and a pile of cracke...

the last time i had a record cut, i had to insist to the engineer that he used his £7000 manley and avalon processors rather than the software he was about to use. i once sat in a session where the guy used a waves L2 and called it a day (I had the waves L2 at home)...with manley stuff and 1176s an...

Did any of You guys had personal encounter with equipment in this priuce range? a couple bad experiences before i gave up on searching for such "amazing deals". there's no such thing as a free lunch (applies to everything). if you own a computer, it's mostly a waste of money to try to buy...

yeah... hmmm... actually,what about other ways of using it. For example, run sound out from my Synthesizer 1 through it, and bring it in. Run a bus through it and back, and just add some fatness/sweetness to some channels... Is it bad idea? that's the idea! i think the best idea for warming things ...

mix it in your digital domain, send the mix to a mastering engieneer, he will run it through some good high end analog stuff and voila, you have your warmth and you wont fck up your mix with bad mastering plus once you spend money on the mastering engieneer you will be more motivated to make good t...
