This experience really alerted me to the nasty sonic compromise that a cheap mixer is. There's a reason why real, good sounding mixers cost a fortune! What do you use now? Can you recommend anything sub-$1000 or do you have to go much higher? What about Soundtracs Topaz, Ramsa, Allen & Heath or...
