It seems that it would be enough since it can be used as a synthesizer as well as a drum machine. I've actually been thinking of getting one as well but kinda unsure about its inability to sample. I would like to be able to import ideas into the Tempest and then sequence and modulate in Tempest.

I layer religiously but I do it to realize unique timbres and add movement and life, not to make elements bigger or punchier.

I remember reading an old Maetrik interview and he said he kinda like interned with Alexi Delano for a few months (or longer?) and got all his chops during that period. At least, hit the ground running. Dude is fire for sure.
