if so then go the linear phase route ... psp neon is great. waves do one too.

Depends if you actually release the track and start making squid from it... then yes, it's technically a problem.

you could always buy some sample cd's dedicated to drum sounds... it'll save you the hassle of sampling and all its pitfalls

I know a bloke who used the active reveals... he loved them and said they were the flattest things he'd used. I personally think he was trying to justify buying monitors. if you don't have any monitors, and these are cheap and you have an amp, then get them. Some monitors are better than none... esp...
