yeh i think if you find the general synthesis - as in the combination of waveforms and filter settings to produce this sound + the right chords and the reverb, delay,compression settings you will get the noise your after. Id tell u to experiment with these combinations.... by doing this you will dev...

map a controller to filters, sends and any-everything and record yourself stripping down the loop and build it up again live If you start with everything playing and strip it down eventually you get to a suitable intro and because you have physically turned dials to get there you know what controlls...

If I was djing, then ableton and a midi controller would be my killer efx unit. Can think of anything that would beat it, with so many options and you can customise... brilliant!


That unit looks like some kind of stomp pedal for guitars... check boss stuff or peavey

you route the outs to "audio tracks" not midi

In the audio track select... in , recieve audio from midi 1 or whatever track the drum machines on and then the tab under it select the cell you want.... you should see them all

You can route the individual impulse cells to seperate audio tracks milc

In an audio track select from the i/o section... the midi track the impulse be on, click the tab under that and u will see the 8 cells to choose from

Works the same with all other drum synths... battery / microtonic etc
