I would also try adding reverb to your bass and kicks. It will add some harmonic noise in there... put a filter on them if they are too high. You could also sidechain your reverb sounds separately. For me its been to keep up on my game. I practiced more this year, did lots of recordings and actually finished tunes. Its been a good year. Really looking forward to the next one. Other thing is that hardware is the bomb but software is pretty good too. For me its the blend of both that makes thing...
