THank you very much viva hate. Yes, UW. I'm slowly starting to add the nord into the mix, and I must say it's amazing. Adds a whole new dimension to it. Getting better with the patterns too.

That is an idea, yes. I have no sampler though and no money to get one until then, and ultimately if I'm going to do this I could as well use ableton coupled to the machinedrum (which is definitely where this is going). For now though, i'm maybe gonna use a minidisc with some ambient tracks and rout...

I spent a lot of time analyzing closer to the edit (my inspiration really), and in fact it's even more complicated than I first thought, he really is changing stuff every 4 bars. I think that's near to impossible to achieve on the machinedrum, so I will rethink my approach. Thank you for your advice...

I have the DT770 and am very happy with them, very comfortable to wear, very easy to exchange broken parts, great sound. They are closed, which I think is great, but the part about hearing fatigue is true as well. Downside is they are not very loud, but the DT770 Pro are louder.

don't worry measax, I won't lose my identity, this undertaking is geared specifically at understanding those rules and being able to follow. I can always come back to my "style" when I'm done with that :)
