Here's some trick that I have discovered myself: Open up an audio editor and instead of opening sound files, open up either BMP, PDF, EXE, or TXT files. You will get a bunch of weird static and noise, but you can make some interesting noisy samples from it if you chop that up. +1 many audioeditors ...

Use a white noise source trigger with short envelope (hard attack, short decay) feed into hipass filter (12 or 24db) and adjust to your like or: do you have a turntabel and old vinyl ? record the signal of the empty parts of the vinyl (the end with the lock groove). use a mixer before your recording...
