I just want to add that acoustics and wave-physics says that if you have different low-frequency noises coming out of two separate speakers in fairly close proximity (say more than 3 feet apart, but less than 200 feet apart), you're going to have issues with phase-cancellation. Practically this mean...

Eh, for like 1/10th the price you can get a microtonic plugin and make yourself a kit that sounds pretty damned good. Plus it's all inside your computer, so you don't have to worry about all of the crap like line noise that comes along with recording. Sure, you don't have professionals designing you...

Personally I find that you'll do best with a synth patch layered on top of some carefully enveloped samples. Save your cash and buy a recorder like the edirol r09 or one of the many other great field recorders on the market, and then record actual taps on actual wood. Record the same hit many times ...

¿donde esta el bass? Seriously, just add some occasional bass hit on the up-beat or something to give a bit of bounce to the track. I can dig the vocal, and I agree about the great jacking vibe to it. The electro bonk noise needs to be re-pitched... it's not in the same key as the vocal you use, whi...

Ooh! This one is hot! I didn't listen to the first one... but I absolutely love the laid-back dub styles. Your concept is dead on man, though I think you may want to check your assumptions on the bass frequencies and kick levels (I typically mix my kicks to around -6.0 to -4.0db: 50% kick in a mix i...
