People keep mentioning weak kicks w/regards to the MD. I don't get it. If you have synthesis+ASDR+Eq+distortion+bit rate reduction or whatever else you want, how can the kicks be so weak? It sounds like a personal problem to me. I never had weak kick drums on my MD.

Man, MDs still have that kind of bug? I had one of the first 100 made and it always had a bug similar to that- even after tons of updates. UW has sampling and a few other things. If you spend the money on a machinedrum- just pay the extra and get the UW. You'll regret it if you don't. Elektron used to upgrade for $600, but I don't know if they still do that.

There isn't even the slightest fairness in comparing these two. The machinedrum wins by a HUGE margin.
