After reading this the other day - I thought I'd test it a little, I never normalise, so I rendered a straight loop with no FX whatsoever, I did it from the song page , and the session page, both exactly the same, the 1st note/drum is flat, the rest are fine. I think the easiest way to compare Hawtin and Top is to listen to asteriod - listen to the track that sound identical to the spine-tingling acid menace on Hawtin's musique album , and you will see the tracks are virtually identical, the overall feel of the album is definately similar, saying that - ...

I've also been having this problem , I use a bought and paid for version of 4.05 (i think) and 5.03, both had this issue, I get round it by rendering all my loops longer than they need to be and then adjusting the loop markers, when I render a whole track - it doesn't seem to be noticeable.
