I totally agree with you Blitz... I think these machines will continue to generate equal amounts of love and hate for a good while yet . They are much better than samples or software reproductions though and for anyone starting out, as dirddey_iddler pointed out , it's a great buy but I gotta say .....

Having had and used both a 909 and 808 for many years I just gotta say that the TR 8 is damn close. Bought one two weeks ago and it's as near to the real thing as it could be.
