Re: ShellBound - BRN [Tech-trance]
my only complaint would be that after the trancy pads come in and the breakdown, more energy could climax in. good point. i added a hat and a shaker doing straight 16ths, which is a very easy way to add drive to that section, without really doing much else. i made another version, which is a bit br...

Re: Sicc - Sleeping spirits (new to this forum)
very lush reverb and the stereo image of the track is just awesome. my only minor complain would be the that clap, since it's giving the track a more house-y flavor, which kind of bugs me a little. but that's more my personal taste, probably. had a listen to the other tracks. very good stuff, man. i...

Re: DIY Monitor Stands
Cinder blocks. Cheap and heavy. That's a little industrial for me. I don't want to feel like I am living in a construction site. just put something nice over them. i have a couple of brazilian flags draped over mine. i personally couldn't justify spending $200 and up on stands that would be heavy e...

fixed a few things. did a new mixdown with leaving plenty of headroom and then tried my hand at "mastering" (ozone) which was a pretty interesting experience in itself:

Re: ShellBound - BRN [Tech-trance]
sasha? ouch! haha. but yeah, i'm coming more from the psy-trance background, when it comes to 4x4 music. i know this kind of stuff is not what people typically listen to or make on this board. still, i think it can be educational to get some feedback from the 'outside', so to speak. and i like this ...

Re: k i r k w o o d w e s t - the secret of the worm (slomo)
very steady and hypnotic. the first 5 minutes were just perfect. but you started to lose me in the "outro" or whatever you want to call the part when the bass drops off. having that worked great as a build up, but after getting hypnotized by the deep bass, its lack was kind of jarring. it ...

Re: Possible Windmill - 2 Step Techno
i agree with ethereal. and if you were going to keep it that sparse, then i think you can allow yourself to drench things in reverb more. it feels kind of dry. also, that very first hat that comes in sounds pretty harsh to me. i would notch around 1-2K to cut out some of that metallic harshness. or ...
