From what I've read i thought it best to leave room in the low end for kick and bass... forget what you've read and hear what you do...you shouldn't cut everything below 200 Hz...sometimes you got a perc/synth whatever loop that will interact nicely with the low elements...when you cut every low en...

Bitwig looks cool of course...but i'd rather wait for Live 9 which will be very good i think....and will contain mostly of the stuff with what Bitwig comes....

btw:has someone checked OhmStudio yet? i just installed the free beta and will have a closer look at it later when my little son is in bed :)

fair enough,man...it's really all taste i think...nothing big.... but the thing with "ableton sound engine = bad" is absolutely bullshit....just read an interesting article in Sound and Recording magazine where there is a test about the engines of all major DAWs...an Engine itself doesn't ...

dont do it :) why not? i really dislike Ableton on many levels. i find it weird that a one time protools user would end up on ableton some day. what you don't like about it?...i know it's a matter of personal taste but i tried all the big DAWs and Live was the easiest to understand...very easy to h...
