I seem to have problems with giving my productions more variaty. I always come up with a concept, make a cool bassline, groove, drums, etc. Maybe some nice sounds. Then i start arranging, sort of finishing the track with mixing but when i listen to the track there is always something missing... But ...

do you have a sample of this noise? To listen to? Noise could be static for instance, or humming noise, or whatever :)

That depends on a lot of circumstances. Some times it's 3 hours on one day, and then 1 our the other day (fresh ears ;)) to finish it up. The best is to do this in the morning i suppose, somehow i'm best when i'm just out of bed :P but hey, somehow some others tracks take me weeks to finish, and mos...

i actually quite like my M-AUDIO O2 :)
It's not that big, i know, and the keys are only half-action which takes some time getting used to. BUT the keys are touch-sensitive and that's really nice for subtle basslines and such :) And it's cheap and portable

He, together with Tobi Neumann, is the one that got me into minimal so to speak. They are my biggest sources of inspiration. Very nice to read this interview, i hadn't seen it before :)

i dont know.. i saw mathew dear last week and the subs were full on.. and theres something nice about feeling it too. the vibration along with the audible sound Ofcourse it sounds good to have a really heavy bass during playback, but you only want this when playing a song, not producing it.
