Re: new audio interface, any suggestions?

Hey.. don't know if anyone suggested already but. for your budget I can't recomend strongly enough the new Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6.... this thing is ROCK SOLID. I've never had an issue with it.. not one. thats my vote. only 'problem' is that it only has 4 analog i/o.. not enough for me s...

Re: interesting dub chord / stab sounds...

I'm aware I'm not the first to say this here.. but I think I've missed it in this thread. ANYTHING can become a dubchord with a resonator. take a microphone and record stuff. tune your resonator. magic. but I'm on with the rest of you... after we've nailed the timbre.. what other tricks are there fo...

Re: NI Maschine + Ableton Live

I'm thinking of setting aside my apc40 and ableton just to switch it up.. I think I've become too familiar with all of its options and possibilities.. nothing to restrain me. I think ableton will suit me for designing sounds.. presets.. etc.. but for jamming I'm going to see whats like to just leave...

Re: Looking to buy a monomachine.

exactly. the elektron site doesn't 'echo' the comments here and on other forums.. which is disturbing. However, I'm getting it and if I don't like it hopefully I don't lose too much  can't wait... I'm focusing on an all new workflow.. Maschine as master clock with as few other vst's as possible...

Re: Looking to buy a monomachine.

The difference is the user waves, which work the way you described. and more importantly, the Ensemble machines. You can't play chords using a single machine on a MK1. I'd NEVER buy a MK1, no matter how cheap, as I use the Ensemble machines on practically all of my tracks and I feel they are the mo...

Re: making kicks

notch filter in the low-mid range to taste. this might free up some energy so that the overall volume can be boosted... or saturated. but I still don't see how the tech-house big guns are makes such slamming kick drums. even the ecochord guys get thick round sounds that I can't seem to reproduce.. w...

Re: New Studio Build

well the allen & heath IS a better soundcard :) also mackie makes one as well... 16 channel.. firewire in & out... I'd say its a pretty desirable addition to any techno studio. However.. I agree that adding room treatment is #1 priority. Then maybe some analog synth capabilities (my vote is ...
