Yeah, but it can also alter the overall sound of the track.

The Audio Kontrol 1 is pretty good. If you're planning to use it on a laptop too it's perfect for you.

But if you want to use it on a PC I would recommend the E-MU 0404.

Yeah, the filters will make everything as tense as possible. But try maxing the filters then like one bar of silence... then BOOM! The beat kicks back in.
