Hey, Compliments: On both tracks i'm feelin' a groove. Both are danceable, and that is points from me. Critisisms: On Bell, the female 'by' repeated vocal is kind of distracting. On Boobies, every time the sample of 'boobies' comes on, I almost start laughing. If that was the goal, then bump this up...

Hey, Compliments: I like The variation. Seven minutes can be hard to work with. The driving cymbal work is nice. I like that. There's a lot going on to my ears, but there's still a pulse to the song that you can feel (which I think is important.) Critisisms: To my specific tastes the focus isn't cle...

Nice job. It strikes me as sort of an ambient techno track, but if it came on at a party, it wouldn't take away from the atmosphere.

I like it. It's on my iPod now.

I like it. It sounds like the track is bubbling up from water. Cool effect. A lot of variation in a theme.

Good job.

Melody vs. Rhythm

Techno is, from my perspective, rhythm driven. This makes drums and such quite important. I feel I can put together a decent drum loop without to much hassle. However, I have hit a 'writers block' in which the primary problem seems to be notes and their function within techno. I seem to either alway...

When I was about 11, I was a little trancecracker, fed by the late night hit music stations that were my only exposure to the electronic sound. My mom wanted to buy me a cd, so I told her to get me a "techno" CD. I used it as the media did, as a grouping for everything electronic as oppose...

Firstly, congratulations on the gig. Way to be. Deep house, eh? That's cool. My favorite Deep House producer is Blue 6. Good deep sounds there. Look up "Music and Wine." Miguel Migs is good as well. I've always liked Thomas Bangalter and his many projects, but he isn't so much deep as fun....
