ah thanks, interessting. I don't like the instruments from ableton too (operator is a exception). But I would never choose my sequencer because of the containing instruments. I think there are enough good 3rd party instruments out there, but I do agree that a good sound library make things much easi...

yeah I've tried that. my problem with the delay is, that you can't creat good dub delays. I would like to have a multi tab delay with more feedback and modulation in traktor pro.

it's so easy to create them in ableton with racks and so complicated/not possible in traktor. at least for me :-)

yeah +1 the delays just suck as a effect in traktor pro, I have to say I did't like the whole fx system. the problem with external fx is that the need space... I often don't have.

I only heard them once in a music store along genelec/k&h monitors.

I really didn't like them, they are way to bright for me and I didn't hear a great offset in depth. Needles to say, this is just a personal opinion...

Topic: genelec 8040 without sub?

yeah that helps, thanks. I only have a small room at the moment, so I want a speaker that only have the bass you really need to hear ( ...I hope you get me, low bass lines etc.). feeling bass is not so important. The 8030 definitely need a sub, so my idea was to get just the 8040 and add a sub later...

the midi/audio timing of ableton live is not so tight as it should be.
I never managed to get a good timing when I route midi in/out live, yes, but as long as you use "internal midi" (softsynth, sampler) I never noticed a problem.
