Personally, I've given up on drum vsts and got myself an Elektron MachineDrum.

To continune my exploration of the Elektron MachineDrum, this was made using only the EFM machines and then processed and mixed in Ableton.

Good thread, techno is a music genre dominated by machines (either new or old), it has elements such as a driving kick, 4/4 beat etc ... Just like any other music genre, there are some core components in it. If you take away those components, it would no longer be techno. However, I am more interest...

Probably, as he plays live gigs as well. I'm more interested in his sound design. Some of the sounds a lot like FM to me.

Such a great producer ... anyone know what sort of gear or production he uses to produce those eerie sounds?
