A really obvious feature

I always thought that it was kind of shortsighted for them not to include the ability to create audio tracks in Reason. It would be nice to be able to just import a wave file and be able to see it in the timeline / sequencer.

It seems to me like a really obvious feature to include in the program.

just walking around your house doing extremely mundane chore

For a good exercise you should videotape yourself just walking around your house doing extremely mundane chores then edit and score it to make it seem mysterious and suspenseful. If you can make that entertaining then you know that you have what it takes :)

You need to build up a bit of a portfolio

I know a little about the film, television/media process. My suggestion is that you try to make some contacts with people who have skills that overlap and compliment yours. God knows there are enough desperate want-to-be-a-big-shot directors out there that need all the help they can get to produce g...

I would suggest keeping an eye on kijiji.com

I don't know if it extends into the UK but if you live in Canada or the US then I would suggest keeping an eye on kijiji.com / kijiji.ca. Its a buy and sell classifieds website. Its great for just about anything you can think of. I got a midi keyboard from some guy who lived on the other side of tow...

I would hate to miss a good tip.

I see what you are saying. I paticularly like the little quirk at the very beginning the sound in the movie clip version. I would like to be able to produce variations of that little quirk. Do you think the key changes were played/sequenced or do you think it was one solid note with changes being ma...

I like that part in the first mp3

I like that part in the first mp3 where he is about to play the highest frequency and he stops to mention that you need really good equipment to do this. I would like to start a set off with the first couple minutes and then find a track that I could bring in at exactly the pitch he plays then whoom...

Sharing Production techniques, tricks & quirky discoveri

The other day someone commented in a thread in which another had demonstrated a production technique that not enough people share their production techniques, tricks and discoveries with other producers. I went out for a long walk last night and I had a mp3 on my player from a few months back. It wa...
