i swear by the hiss they make. it is beautiful. i have a track coming up on a compilation for cold tear, every instrument channel was run through my monotron and i will post a link soon when it released. so you can hear the wonderful analogue warmth it gives off.

it still kills me, underworld doing tracks with high contrast and tiesto. i love underworld, but mixed with trance it's awful music. it reminds me of 10+ years ago moby doing a song with gwen stefani. this is maybe equivalent of orbital doing a track with fergie. *sigh*

It's an amazing keyboard. I have it's smaller cousin the Monotron. I use my monotron on nearly all of my recordings. the ribbon keyboard is essentially garbage to me, it is too difficult to play anything "on key" as it is chromatic. it's great for making squeeling noises, but not for playi...

my favorite basic releases so far have been the longer ambient pieces. jesse somfay and dntels basic releases are brilliant. this is early morning music, right after you've woken up, or very late at night, when you are winding down, entering sleep mode while hunched over your laptop late at night.
