A producer is more like a composer, while a DJ is more of a conductor, if you want to use classical music terms.

This happened to me once as well, and is very annoying indeed. After that time I always try to visit the release page on archive.org and see if they are using the correct link.

I personally wouldn't pay for netlabel releases as I don't even buy vinyl/CDs ( and no, I don't download them illegally either ) I know several people who run netlabels who aren't rich. So I don't think the costs can be THAT high. Sure, you have to pay for the traffic to your website, but archive or...
