The only important thing is that the audio engineer who is mastering the tracks can work with the files he gets and still has "space" for the mastering and sound improvement. That is the only thing matters- If you dont take this whole space with whatever you are having on the master, there...

yo! out of curiosity i was wondering if any of you make their pre mastering using ableton live. for your track and also for other people tracks.. if so , how do set your self up ? like your pluggins n all that? (right now i am still using wavelab & cool edit 200, with pluggins like the waves on...

1)load into impulse . Now THAT is a great idea! So simple! Thanks! And if that doesnt work im gonna try that oh... you want to merge vertically, not horizontally. well... if you have soundforge... and the "chunks" are in perfect loops. you could use the "paste special - MIX" ......
