I'd get a MAC, the O/S is a lot more stable then a PC. Although saying that if you just have a base build with XP SP2 and FS or Serato or what ever you should be pretty much OK. Just don't install any other sh1t on it. Good thing with a MAC of course is that you can install XP on it anway and dual b...

You can download sample banks for most of the Roland series of drum machines. My best advice is to do that and fire them up in Battery or Kontakt or something. It'll save you a lot of time/hassle.
