true Mike, i think the most important thing is to make sure it sounds good in your own ears, and with good eq'ing you can do alot.
choose quality over volume.

i almost never use compression, unless it really fits the idea of the track.

also liking this - that vocal is very cool

i have the same thoughts about the high end like EC50 tho.. but that's taste.
