Re: That damn hiss and static

Quite a few things that can be the problem.
For eliminating ground hum try having all equipment on one power socket/strip.
As for hiss it's mostly interference and not much you can do about it as it is probably poorly shielded equipment.

Re: Potential synth purchases. Would like some advice

I own a sh-2, can only recommend it. When I bought it a couple of years ago it came down to the 101 or the -2, chose the 2 mostly because of the additional sinewave (which sounds excellent btw) and I always thought of the 101 sounding harsher and not so warm as the sh-2 which I still think is the ca...

Re: Room Treatment......

Your room is quite small and almost a square (height is hopefully offset enough) so it will be hard to get rid of the standing waves but you'll be able to flatten out the low end with some basstraps. Try the 4 corners first, move the traps around and check the results, if you use too much absorption...

Re: Filter Modules

What lem says. Muffwiggler is a very good forum and plenty of info to be found there. Re: Filter Modules

Owning Doepfer A-102 ,A-124, A-108, A-107 and a Cwejman DMF-2. Doepfers tend to...

In the end it only depends what sounds right to your ear. From a theoretical point the first thing you will have to decide on is if you wanna stay in a tonality/modus. If so your options will be limited as theres only a few that will work once you've got your oscillators tuned to a triad. -whole ton...

I'm planning on getting a pair of Twins in a month or two. What I really like about them is that they're 3-way for an affordable price. I'm curious to hear some opinions from people that own Focals. What's your experience with your pair of Solo's ? Overall the Solo is a great speaker and I don't ha...
