@spage I can't speak for digital but for mixing vinyl, I've found that keeping it simple is key. The amount of time that you're spending on this seems like a waste when you could just practice using basic ear reception & the 'feeling' of each track & how they do or do not blend, in general, ...

I'm not trying to ba a smartass or anything but controlling the dust in the area surrounding your records seems to work the best.
