akais only have the capabilities for 16mb flash.

these Roland samplers are very well equipped just that Akai's have become the industry standard so ppl tend to stick with them,despite their limitations

i'm basing calling him the greatest artist producer of this generation (since Quincy Jones) on the fact that no-one does it better than him (at the mo)

maybe the Neptunes come close but that's it.

that's a good option but the roland has more features that will come in handy for live 'techno' performances & can be expanded with those compact flash cards (2gb max) so a 30euro 2gb compact flash card will give you something like 12hours sampling (mono) 6hrs (stereo)
